Oh What A Night !  

In excess of $60,000 was raised during three hours of fun, food and finery!

     The courtesy bus collected passengers from our two churches and motored on to the stunning Annabella Reception in Clayton where the massive number of guests now totalled about 650.

      

     Hoang Quang-Minh, Fr Peter's brother was our welcoming and lively host for the evening. He also animated the amazing auction which featured a magnificant statue of Our Lady, a unique painting of our Church standing, by Sr Marquerite fma, a collector's item large framed photo collage depicting aspects of St Joseph's Church, and a mounted, preserved floor tile saved from the Church, presented in a perspex case.

      The Raffle, of course, added anticipation to the evening.  Some days prior to the evening, Fr Peter Hoang mentioned that a plasma TV had also been donated for the Raffle, he joking said, "I'd like to win that for the TV room!"  The rest is history!  Finally, the ticket for the major prize of $1000 was drawn ... the winner ... Mr & Mrs Tri Le, parents of Quyen and Can Traan.  The defining spirit throughout the  evening was Generosity, and God's people dearly want a Church.  In such an amazing act of Generosity, the family donated the $1000 back to the St Joseph's Fundraising Committee.  Anabella Receptions also made a valuable donation as did so many families whose names scrolled down the Acknowledgement list on the screen.  All the money for the Raffle prizes was also generously donated ... Amazing!  Thank you to all who attended and to all donors ... and especially to the Committee whose planning and preparations were keys to such a success!

      

     A major contribution to the evening's fun was the stage entertainment. A variety of talent, Vietnamese culture and 'surprises' kept us enthralled. View the  videos opposite!
